You can obtain a Temporary Trip Permit in the absence of IRP plates to travel within New Jersey. You have to pay a fee of $25 for a Temporary New Jersey Trip Permit valid for 72 hours. If you are obtaining the permit through a permitting service, you would be charged an additional processing fee.
You can also obtain a Temporary Fuel Permit in the absence of an IFTA license for travel within New Jersey. You need to pay $25 for the Temporary New Jersey Fuel permit with validity for 96 hours. If you using a permitting service for obtaining the Temporary Fuel Permit, you need to also pay a processing fee.
You can obtain a Hunter Permit for vehicles operating without loads. The permit is non-transferable and charged $25 with a validity for 10 days. If you are using a permitting service for obtaining the Hunter Permit, you need to pay an additional processing fee.
